Registration with the Embassy
The State Department has launched a secure online travel registration website which will allow you, as an American citizen, to record foreign trip and residence information that the Department of State can use to communicate with you and assist you in case of an emergency.
U.S. citizens around the world who travel or reside abroad can access this site through the Department of State website (for link see below). We invite you to register yourself and your family using this link and become acquainted with travel registration. Even if you are already registered with this Embassy, but not through this website, please re-register online. Be sure to keep your record updated to reflect any changes in your information.
Be sure to provide an email address so you can receive helpful and informative e-mails from the U.S. Embassy, which include security warnings, travel advisories, tax and voting information, and consular services notices.
NOTE: When accessing the Travel Registration website for the first time, please select the option "Create Account" in order to register your stay/travel in/to a country.
