U. S. Embassy Releases 2009 A-List; Announces 3 New Additions

PRESS RELEASE

Stockholm - On June 30, 2009, Chargé d'Affaires Robert Silverman of the U.S. Embassy released the latest edition of the Embassy's List of Alternative Energy Opportunities in Sweden. The new list adds three companies to its ranks: Detox, Lindinvent and NFO Drives. Released in conjunction with the U.S. Embassy's Independence Day Celebration, this is the first time that a new list has been unveiled in Sweden.

"With this latest update," said Chargé d'Affaires Silverman, "Embassy Stockholm is carrying on the tradition of finding the next technological breakthrough in clean technology… It's amazing that our project, which began as a rather small idea, has grown so much. I am excited for the future of U.S.-Swedish cooperation."

The U.S. Embassy's List of Alternative Energy Opportunities in Sweden includes companies that Chargé d'Affaires Silverman and other Embassy staff members have visited, firms or individual innovators that were brought to the Embassy's attention by the Government of Sweden and other contacts within Sweden, and companies that contacted the Embassy directly. The list's purpose is to highlight promising Swedish companies that may be able to benefit from cooperation with American investors, business people and innovators.
